How to move and store a fridge

fridgesClean and thaw your fridge thoroughly before extended storage.

Empty the fridge and/or freezer, then clean it and leave the door open for at least 24 hours to ensure it is free of ice and moisture. If you are storing your fridge the door should be secured slightly ajar and it is also a good idea to place a deodoriser or Bicarbonate Soda inside to help maintain freshness.

When moving, your fridge must be kept upright at all times. The oil in the compressor may flow into the cooling lines if the fridge is put on its side.

Leaving your fridge standing for 24 hours before switching it on is recommended. This will allow the refrigerator to settle.

  5. Thats awesome that a storage facility would have wi-fi. In this technology era, people might find it to be a decision maker.

  6. Good for you guys. :) It’s always good to hear that someone is giving a little bit back to the community.

  7. Congratulations KSS for adding Safe Deposit Boxes for your clients. As a previous manager of KSS at Leumeah we were asked by some customers about this idea and I am so pleased to see that you are now implementing them in some of your locations. Will the Safe Deposit Boxes be installed at all of your centres? Regards Carol Volcov

  8. A quick hello from the other side of the world. I help run a small self storage warehouse in Letchworth, UK and I am always interested to see what is happening in Australia as it is so much more advanced than the UK in terms of self storage. Some of your buildings are really beautiful and it really is good that such buildings are refreshed and brought to life rather than fall into dilapidation and become eyesores like many such buildings in city centres.

  9. In fact, this is a company that is moral and transparent in all of our dealings. They only give you as much storage space as you require, they refund all unused rent and have removed all ambiguous administration fees once connected with signing up for self storage.

  10. It is just because it becomes very difficult to judge the quantity of cartons you will require while purchasing moving boxes, Kennards Self Storage offers a great service through the Kennards box buy back benefit.

  11. Thanks for the positive comments about our box buy-back program. Its been a great success! It adds real value to the customers experience by saving them costs and helping the environment. The customer can make their own decision – Do I buy new? Do I make use of the buy-back with Kennards or do I buy some of the great condition second hand boxes in stock?

  12. Yes it is very useful information that your wine collector’s item can be stored with complete privacy and security.
