The Kennards team are once again excited to announce the upgrade and improvement program to our centres continues.
We are the pioneers for adaptive re-use of buildings around the country. We are committed to the care and maintenance of all our properties. Many of our centres have historical and local significance making our efforts even more important.
Our storage centre at 2 Parramatta road, Homebush is one such example. Originally the home of Columbia Records and later EMI Records. We are undertaking the complete replacement of the roof at this centre in February 2019.
In the interest of safety and our duty of care to our customers and team members the roof will be replaced in accordance with strict Australian Standards. The contractor selected for these works is: RMA Contracting Pty Ltd
This will impact access to spaces to a small number of customers for short periods during the works. A more detailed schedule has been shared with customers at the centre.
If anyone is concerned with the works or access to their storage then we encourage them to contact our team onsite:
Centre Manager – Christian or Assistant Manager – Rhys can be contacted on:
P: 02 9763 1211
For your peace of mind extensive precautions will be employed by the contractor and Kennards Self Storage to protect customer’s goods. A team of qualified contractors along with a crane will be on site during the work to ensure the old roof is replaced in as short a time as possible. The scheduled dates are of course subject to weather conditions permitting.
We do apologise to our customers and neighbours for any inconvenience and thank them for their understanding in our efforts to continually improve our self-storage facilities.
Kennards Self Storage is proud of the standard of our service and our properties.
The Kennards storage centre at 565 Woodville road is one of the first generation, dedicated storage centres built by the late Neville Kennards in the 1980s.
