Kennards Self Storage Homebush Set For Major Upgrade

The Kennards team are once again excited to announce the upgrade and improvement program to our centres continues.

We are the pioneers for adaptive re-use of buildings around the country. We are committed to the care and maintenance of all our properties. Many of our centres have historical and local significance making our efforts even more important.

Our storage centre at 2 Parramatta road, Homebush is one such example. Originally the home of Columbia Records and later EMI Records. We are undertaking the complete replacement of the roof  at this centre in February 2019.

In the interest of safety and our duty of care to our customers and team members the roof will be replaced in accordance with strict Australian Standards. The contractor selected for these works is: RMA Contracting Pty Ltd

This will impact access to spaces to a small number of customers for short periods during the works. A more detailed schedule has been shared with customers at the centre.

New Spaces For Our Rapidly Filling Chullora Centre

New Spaces to meet demand for our Kennards Self Storage Chullora centre.

175 new spaces, part of our stage 2 expansion at our 2c Hume Highway Chullora centre are almost ready for their first customers.

Our Chullora centre has experienced exciting growth since opening a mere 11 months ago. In December 2017 we were able to release the first stage for customers to access and make use of the new facility. Since that time we have been overwhelmed by the local demand.

Our Newest Beacon of Freedom Signs Up!

A quick shout out to the team at Programmed Property Maintenance who installed additional signage bringing the completion of our newest Kennards Self Storage  Chullora Centre even closer.

The Centre Team, Karen and Bruce commented positively;

“We were able to receive part hand-over and conducted a soft opening of the office and some spaces just prior to Christmas.

Behind the scenes we are glad to say we are fully operational with access and alarm systems all commissioned.

Kennards Self Storage Warrawong Is Now Open

The final touches have been placed on our brand new Warrawong storage centre at 249 Shellharbour Road.

Sandwiched between the beach and lake Illawarra, right opposite Harvey Norman Warrawong on the Primbee bypass its now taking its first customers.

The team dug deep last week to get the office and spaces ready for their first customers. The last of the cleaning, numbering and unpacking of boxes and equipment has been done.

Our latest generation 4K CCTV is operational. The computer controlled PIN coded gates and individual alarms are on and ready.

Kennards Self Storage – 2c Hume Highway Chullora Nearly There!

The flood of new centres for Kennards Self Storage continues unabated this year. The dryer than normal winter in Sydney has really helped builders with construction being ahead of schedule so far.

The site was slow to come out of the ground as Kennards took on the responsibility to complete a lot of civil works underneath the site. Storm water drainage has been upgraded to allow for any council or government storm water improvements going under the site in future. This necessitated the building of a large under-ground water culvert.

Playing along with the analogy; now that the water works are complete our team are “pumped” about the opening. It’s going to be a landmark storage centre in a highly sought after location.

Kennards Chullora is right next door to the intersections of the Hume Highway and the artery that is Roberts Road / Centenary Drive. Close to a bunch of suburbs such as Greenacre and Lidcombe, not far from Flemington Markets and Strathfield South. Likewise if you are commuting toward the city from Yagoona you’ll drive right past it on your left.

This centre plugs an important gap for our customers in an ideally located central Sydney position – Not too far West. Not too far East. You could say Sydney’s East meets West in Chullora!

Kennards Self Storage Warrawong Opening Soon

Exciting progress is being made at our new Warrawong Storage centre on the corner at 249 Shellharbour Road.

Last week the new management team inspected progress and started to get ready to move themselves and their equipment in. The main building structures are now up with much of the fit out for the first buildings nearly complete. The windows for our large office, retail space, meeting room and Box Shop are also being installed.

Once the centre is at a lockable stage progress will move quite quickly. Signage, driveways and permanent fencing will be the last to be installed before opening, weather permitting in November or December this year.

This Kennards Self Storage centre is an outstanding addition for customers in the Warrawong , Port Kembla and South Wollongong areas with quite easy access even from suburbs such as Dapto, Lake Illawarra and Shellharbour itself.

Prospect Stage 3 Expansion – Now Open

Kennards Self Storage are excited to announce the opening of the latest expansion to our 15 Rowood Road, Prospect centre.

240 new state of the art storage spaces are now open. Each with their own individual alarm and 24 hour access.

We have adapted the range of sizes with more ‘family size’ single garage spaces available; better suited to the demographics of the area and the requests of our customers. These are complimented with a variety of other sizes available too allowing the Prospect centre the flexibility to suit any storage need.

The upgrade includes 5 specialty built Enterprise Spaces – mini warehouses ranging from 88 to 118 Square metres; ideal for small or growing businesses. With no locked in contracts, our units are ideal for short term stays as well as longer term needs.

New access with much needed separate entry and exit gates has also been added.
