Covid 19 – Level 3 – Kennards Self Storage Victoria

The Victorian Government has declared Level 3 conditions are in effect from 11:59pm on July 8th 2020 in response to the Covid 19 Pandemic.

This now means we are open for all business within the community subject to safe working conditions for our team members and customers plus ensuring all transactions with customers are contactless during this period.
Everyone can still access our full range of services at our website www.kss.com.au or by phoning your local centre during normal business hours or our call centre on 1800 658 855.

What we can do:
Its business as usual, our teams will respect social distancing etiquette when we interact with our customers. Customers have the option to choose a 100% contactless sign up experience. Simply speak to our team and we can walk you through the process.

The situation with Covid-19 is changing constantly and our company is adapting to this every day.

We are committed to the safety of our customers and employees, and also to sustaining the activities of the customers that use our services for a range of reasons. Despite the changes being implemented, all of the Kennards Self Storage team is committed to minimising any inconvenience and indeed will be providing an exceptional experience while also ensuring the highest level of safety.

Opening Hours – We remain open and are operating as normal. While many businesses have high contact with people, and are considered non-essential, self storage has very low contact. We are mindful that many of our customers support a range of industries that are essential. These include contractors, emergency activities, suppliers to health industry and also charities. We are a link in the chain of essential services and will endeavour to operate as normal.

State of Emergency Declared in NSW

A state of Emergency has been declared across New South Wales for the next 7 days as fire fighters brace for heat wave conditions.

At this time of the year many people are travelling away from home concerned with the current fires are worried about their possessions.

Many customers from the Blue Mountains and Newcastle areas have made the decision to move treasured possessions and items of sentimental value and vehicles into their local Kennards Self Storage. We encourage you to consider Kennards Self Storage as part of your bush fire plan.

“Low taxes Will Drive Growth, says Sam Kennard”

Self-storage mogul Sam Kennard, the Liberal Democratic Party candidate vying for Joe Hockey’s recently abdicated North Sydney seat, says Australia should become a tax haven to encourage investment and job creation.

Mr Kennard, who is the managing director of the $1 billion self-storage company that bears his name, said a dramatically lower tax regime and less red tape would foster economic growth, even if it brought increased competition to the sector that Kennards Self Storage now dominates.

The comments came ahead of the North Sydney by-election, which takes place early next month, sparked by the retirement of former federal treasurer Joe Hockey.

Mr Kennard’s Liberal Democratic Party, one of 13 parties running for the seat, rose to prominence after outspoken NSW senator David Leyonhjelm was elected in 2013.

Time To Put Red Tape In Storage

CANBERRA’S parliament house would make a fantastic new ­location for the company I manage, Kennards Self Storage. It has 4500 secure, air-conditioned and easy to access rooms, many of which are not used for anything useful most of the time.

Imagine turning the nation’s greatest sinkhole for taxpayers’ money into a money spinner. But my dream of filling the Great Hall with storage units is not why I am running as a candidate in the North Sydney by-election.
