The Australian Gun Safe regulations for storage of firearms is determined by each state. This means that slight variations occur in each jurisdiction.
Kennards Self Storage provides the firearm Gun Safe for rental but does not regulate a customer compliance to the law.
The Firearms Legislation sets out the responsibilities as firearms owners in relation to safe storage.
Most legislation provides that any person who possesses a firearm must take all reasonable precautions to ensure that the firearm:
- Is kept safe
- Is not lost or stolen
- Does not come into the possession of a person who is not authorised to possess the firearm.
