Brisbane CBD is known to have the warm weather most of the year round due to its subtropical climate and averages humidity levels of 50% during winter and up to 70% in summer.  Summer is usually sunny and hot with February being the hottest month and winters are dry and crisp with September being the coldest. Due to its subtropical climate the use of sun protection is highly advised.

Q: How much does storage cost in Brisbane?

A: Storage rent is generally paid monthly in advance, storage costs may vary depending on the size and location of the storage space. It's important to choose the right size space for your storage needs so you are not paying for extra space you don't need. Some storage companies may charge additional fees for administration and cleaning in addition to storage rent. At Kennards there are no hidden fees or charges, just one monthly rental amount. We like to call this our "Fair Go Pricing".

You can often save on your storage costs by paying in advance. At Kennards Self Storage we offer discounts of 5% for payments made 6 or 12 months in advance.

Q: What size storage space do I Need?

A: Size does matter! You don't want to be paying for more space than you really need. You can speak to one of our trained storage professionals. They can help determine the right storage space for you by asking questions about your storage needs. Or you can use our Space Estimator to help you choose the size of your storage space. And if on the day it's not right we can change it!


Q: Are your storage spaces secure?

A: Yes, you secure your space with your own lock and the key stays with you, you have complete control over who can access your space. Nearly all our locations have individual alarmed storage spaces with back to base monitoring, pin control access, recorded CCTV surveillance recording.


Q: I need to cellar my wine in a temperature controlled cellar; do you have this in anywhere in the Brisbane CBD?

A: Kennards Self Storage West End, Milton and Newstead all have private temperature controlled wine cellars to rent. With cellars ranging in size from 12 cases to 400+.

Q: Can I hire a moving trailer at these centres?

A: Yes you can, every centre has a moving trailer free to use when you move in. Kennards Newstead also has a moving van (Easy Moving Unit) for hire, equipped with padding blankets and tie straps. Only a car licence is required. It has a large 10 to 12 cubic metre load capacity.


Q: Am I able to buy boxes and packing materials at all your centres?

A: Every single Kennards Self Storage centre has a Box Shop for all your packing, moving and storing needs. Also, you do not have to store with us to take advantage of our Box Shop.


Q: Do you deliver boxes?

A: Yes you can organise to have your boxes & packing supplies delivered, we also have click & collect you can shop online or drop into any Kennards store and shop for all your packing, moving and storing needs.
